Action for Brain Injury 2018: You Me and Brain Injury

Friday 11 May 2018

The Cedar Foundation works with over 200 people living with brain injury across Northern Ireland. This year we are focusing on the theme ‘You, Me, and Brain Injury’ during Action for Brain Injury Week 14th-20th May 2018. Brain injury impacts upon the individual, family, friends, colleagues, and many more relationships.  It is our aim to highlight the ripple effect on these networks and how barriers encountered as result of living with a brain injury can be overcome by building support strategies as a community.

At Cedar we work collaboratively to support people with brain injury to live the lives they choose. We do this in partnership with all five Health & Social Care Trusts in Northern Ireland and with funding from the European Social Fund. Our vision is an inclusive society for all so during this awareness week we are hosting events across Northern Ireland including a National Trust outing, a celebratory excursion across the Peace Bridge a unique art exhibition and a DVD launch of personal experiences, to bring focus to the issues and experiences surrounding brain injury.
