A Fruitful Partnership

Friday 02 September 2016

Cedar received a marvellous donation of a large exotic fruit basket from service user Stuart Gray and his work colleagues. Stuart, the produce team and David Lowry (produce manager) from Tesco’s Bentrim Road branch in Lisburn presented the fruit basket to Celine Hamill from Cedar's SES team. SES have been supporting Stuart and Tesco through the Workable (NI) programme. The fruit basket was shared with young people participating in Cedar's Summer Scheme and they certainly enjoyed the healthy snacks.

Workable (NI) is a supported employment programme which supports people with disabilities to maintain their jobs. The programme also gives valuable support and advice to employers throughout Northern Ireland. Cedar delivers Workable (NI) as part of the SES Partnership which recently secured a new 5 year contract for the programme from the Department for Communities.
