Celebrating Success Awards 2016

Cedar was delighted to host their Chairman’s Awards yesterday at Malone House, Belfast.  The awards in various formats have been a central part of the way Cedar highlights and recognises the immense contribution of staff and volunteers across the organisation since their launch in 2007. Over this time there have been 22 award winners and 17 commendations reflecting various aspects of the work that is ongoing across Cedar. In this, Cedar’s 75th Anniversary Year, a special event was held to particularly shine a light on some of the many areas of Cedar that deserve recognition.

.

Maurice Mulvenna, Cedar’s Vice-Chairman, said “Any organisation is only as good as the people behind it.  Whether you are involved as a member of staff, a volunteer, as a member of the Executive Committee or the User Forum, I am sure you will agree that we have an exceptional team across Cedar.  This is a great opportunity to rejoice in the quality of the work that is ongoing across this great organisation and to record our thanks to those who have made an exceptional contribution.”

Also congratulations to those receiving Special and long service awards.  Today has been a lovely opportunity to recognise the hard work of all those involved in Cedar and a great opportunity to mark Cedar’s 75th anniversary year.”

Cedar looks forward to continuing their celebrations with a number of planned recognition events to highlight the achievements of their service users, staff and volunteers throughout the year.
