Endurance Spinathon

Sunday 28 May 2017

The amazing staff in Parliament Buildings have been fundraising tirelessly since Cedar bacame their nominated charity of the year in October 2016. They are on track to raise an amazing 10,000 throughout our partnership. Since efforts began the staff team have participated and hosted a range of fundraising activities such as sponsored walks, a bake off competition and a fabulous fashion show in the Great Hall of Parliament Buildings.

Now it is time to get prepared for the ultimate challenge: The 3-6-12 Cycle!

This weekend the team is participating in an endurance Spinathon to support the practicalities of the 3-6-12 Cycle. You can visit them at Newtownbreda Tesco, Belfast between 1-6pm. Please feel free to pop by to offer encouragement as they prepare to embark on this epic challenge.

What is the 3-6-12 Cycle?

From 6th - 8th September 2017 a team of 12 people (made up of Assembly employees and other supporters) are taking on a nationwide cycle and hope to raise 2,000 and reach the overall fundraising target of 10k.
They will begin and end their challenge at Parliament Buildings and cycle a total of 300 miles across all six counties, only stopping for short rest breaks and two overnight stays in Enniskillen and Portrush.
If you would like to find out more or go ahead and sponsor the team you can do so at their JustGiving page.

The money raised by the NI Assembly will allow Cedar to continue our work supporting individuals and families living with disability, brain injury or autism to live the lives they choose.

Keep checking both website and our social media channels for updates, interviews and more as we follow the team on the greatest challenge yet.
